Chief Marketing Officer, Sophos
Rainer joined Sophos in 2008 as Chief Marketing Officer, based in Boston, and is responsible for marketing and product management. He brings a wealth of experience in managing both worldwide marketing and product management in substantial international technology businesses. Most recently he was Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Solidworks - a role that embraced both disciplines. Earlier technology business experience was mixed with a spell at McKinsey & Company. Rainer holds a bachelor's degree in Physics from The University of California at Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from M.I.T.
